Venue: Manchester Metropolitan University Business School | Tue 21 April 2015

Join Kevin Albertson, James Meadway, Ian Rock and Chris Fox – authors of the recently launched Haynes How to Run the Country Manual – for an election special evening of discussion at Manchester Metropolitan University.

This event promises to cut through the socio-political economic waffle and get straight to the heart of the issues our nation faces and the choices we make in the run-up (or should that be run-down) to the election in May.

Eschewing party political matters and talking straight to the issues in an accessible way, authors of How to Run the Country Manual explain what running the country is all about.

Running order:

5:00 – 5:20pm Arrival, registration and refreshments

5:25pm Gary Pollock (Head of Sociology, MMU) argues: “Young people, politics and populism”

6:05pm Kevin Albertson (Reader in Economics, MMU) outlines: “Social Policy for the 21st Century”

6:30pm Audience Q&A: Kevin, James, Ian and Chris will join in a panel discussion with you and others in attendance.
