Background
PERU with colleagues from ESRI have been awarded a grant from the Education Endowment Foundation to evaluate the Primary Science Quality Mark programme. The Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) is a yearlong CPD programme focussed on developing effective, confident science leadership for whole school impact on science teaching and learning. The effects of PSQM on science attainment will be evaluated using a cluster randomised controlled trial design, with over 100 primary schools taking part. The Co-PIs for this project are Professor Cathy Lewin and Dr Will Cook. Sandor Gellen and Stephen Morris from PERU and Zoe Crompton from the Education School are also part of the team.
