This is an Academy for Social Justice seminar, hosted by PERU. In this free seminar we will hear from 3 speakers, all focused on supporting widest offender cohorts and marginalised groups into sustainable employment:-

  • Lucy Williams from New Futures Network, a national network, created by the Ministry of Justice to enhance the opportunities for rehabilitation and reform, including increasing the number of prisoners/offenders in employment in custody, through-the-gate and upon release.
  • Paul Burns from CPJ Group who have developed 40+ employment pathways into the civil engineering and infrastructure industries.
  • Jacob Hill from Offploy, a social enterprise formed by ex-offenders to help those with convictions secure meaningful, sustainable and mentored employment.

Each of the speakers will discuss their offer to support socially excluded groups through pre-employment, apprenticeship and employment places, training and in-work support and discuss their vision to overcome challenges.
