This year’s festival, orgainsed by Kevin Wong and Gavin Bailey of PERU and Lucy Simpson from RAH! starts on the 18th March with a screening of i Believe in You introduced by Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Probation, Justin Russell.

Building on last year’s success – we’ve gone larger – while keeping true to our mission – screening great films which provoke debate and provide an alternative take on crime, justice and punishment in the 21st century.

In this year’s programme we’ve brought you an eclectic mix of crime classics and lesser known gems chosen by crime experts and film enthusiasts. They will be on hand to introduce their movie choice and answer your questions at the Q and A sessions after each screening.

HM Pasties will once again be providing delicious award winning food along with hot and cold refreshments at the screenings held at No 70 Oxford Road.

Supported by the Koestler Trust each feature screening at No 70 will be preceded by an award winning short film made by a prisoner and entered into the Trust’s 2019 annual award’s scheme.

This year we’re pleased to be working with an equally eclectic mix of enthusiastic and committed partners. We are grateful for their support and help.

Individual film listings and details for how to get free tickets are available on our events page.
