We are pleased to announce a new international partnership on social impact investing between Manchester Metropolitan University and the University of Southern California.

Led by the Policy Evaluation and Research Unit at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Sol Price Center for Social Innovation at the University of Southern California this partnership will undertake original and comparative research on social impact investing, particularly Social Impact Bonds in the UK and the US.

The partnership builds on existing collaborative work such as a jointly authored book on Payment by Results and Social Impact Bonds: Outcome-based payment systems in the UK and US was published by Policy Press/University of Chicago Press.

A UK launch event is being held at USC’s London offices on 7th June where Professor Gary Painter (Director of the Sol Price Center for Social Innovation) and Professor Chris Fox and Dr Chris O’Leary (Director and Deputy Director of PERU) will present USC and MMU’s latest comparative analysis of Social Impact Bonds in the UK and US as well as suggestions for a framework for SIB evaluation.
