What is the need?
The My Square Mile project at HMP Forest Bank involves prisoners and their families from the Bolton community. The project initially engages with prisoners in prison through Khulisa’s Silence the Violence programme and subsequently in the community, with supporting family members, post-release. Evaluation is an important element of this demonstration project.
What are we doing?
PERU is undertaking an evaluation that includes an implementation evaluation, impact evaluation and economic evaluation.
What will be the outcomes?
An interim and final report will be produced.
What are the timescales?
The project started in 2011 and is ongoing.
