PERU is delighted to announce that Professor Sue Baines is joining the Unit. Sue is Professor of Social Enterprise and has been a close collaborator with PERU over the last few years, in particular as Deputy Director of the Innovative Social Investment (INNOSI) project. She is particularly interested in:

·         Social enterprise, civil society, and “entrepreneurship” in the context of public services
·         Social innovation and collaboration across sectors
·         Enterprise and environmental sustainability

Sue also has a substantial track record of research and publication on micro-enterprise, the home as a site of production, gender, and household livelihoods.

PERU’s Director, Professor Chris Fox, said “I and other colleagues at PERU have worked closely with Sue over a number of years and we are really pleased that she will now be working with us full time to further develop our portfolio of projects and publications in the fields of social innovation and social enterprise.”
