Prof. Stephen Morris and Kirstine Szifris are leading a workshop day with staff from Novus' Engima team.

The aim of the day will be to discuss the feasibility of running a randomised control trial in prison to investigate effective methods of delivering of English and Maths education.  The workshop day will begin the dialogue between PERU researchers and Novus front-line staff around how research can be effectively used to inform practice in prison education.  It will involve an exchange of ideas with indiviudals from both the PERU and Novus teams presenting on thier areas of expertise and looking to work together to develop research strategies that are methodologically robust but practical to deliver as well as meaningful to the sector.
