The British Journal of Community Justice website is going live to our readers today. It’s a special issue on women offenders.

This re-launch of the journal under ManMet stewardship marks the journal’s transition to being a gold standard open access publication.  We have been building up the subscriber base since last year and now have over 330 UK and international subscribers including academics from the University of Vienna, University of Manitoba, University of Girona as well as policy makers from the New South Wales Government Australia to the Government of Alberta.  We also have over 500 Twitter followers.

New features that we have introduced include: blogs attached to articles to engage a non-academic audience; and a featured articles section on the home page where we will be delving into the journal’s back catalogue and highlighting articles of relevance to current policy and practice.
