Community sentences: where did it all go wrong?

Last week Crest Advisory launched their latest research report “Community sentences: where did it all go wrong?” at an event in the House of Lords. Hosted by Lord Falconer of Thoroton, former Lord Chancellor and first Secretary of State for Justice, Crest Advisory set out the findings from their study and were delighted to be joined in the discussion by representatives from the Magistrates’ Association, community rehabilitation companies and others. The report was authored by Sophie du Mont and Harvey Redgrave and the research was funded by the Hadley Trust. Mark Ellison and Chris Fox at the Policy and Evaluation Research Unit at Manchester Metropolitan University provided invaluable research assistance and analysis.

This report has been well-received and is also summarised by Russell Webster.
