PERU is delighted to announce that Professor Sue Baines is joining the Unit. Sue is Professor of Social Enterprise and has been a close collaborator with PERU over the last few years, in particular as Deputy Director of the Innovative Social Investment (INNOSI) project. She is particularly interested in:

·         Social enterprise, civil society, and “entrepreneurship” in the context of public services
·         Social innovation and collaboration across sectors
·         Enterprise and environmental sustainability

Sue also has a substantial track record of research and publication on micro-enterprise, the home as a site of production, gender, and household livelihoods.

PERU’s Director, Professor Chris Fox, said, “I and other colleagues at PERU have worked closely with Sue over a number of years and we are really pleased that she will now be working with us full-time to further develop our portfolio of projects and publications in the fields of social innovation and social enterprise”.
