British Journal of Community Justice calls for papers for special issue
It has been 40 years since the Scarman Report into the Brixton Riots in London. Since then there have been considerable changes in policing and in society, but to what extent has the racial disadvantage really changed? TheBritish Journal of Community Justice hosted and managed by PERU is inviting papers from practitioners, policy makers and researchers to examine current and potential future developments in race and criminal, social or community justice. Whilst the main focus of the Scarman Report was on policing it also highlighted the need to address the economic and social position of black and minority ethnic people in the UK and has resonance for minority communities in other jurisdictions internationally.
