Kevin Lockyer, FRSA FinstLM, Managing Partner, Adaptus L.L.P. is the speaker at this Academy for Justice Commissioning/Policy Evaluation and Research Unit event.

Evidence shows that a consistent approach to case management is more effective in managing risk, develops more positive offender engagement and is more likely to reduce reoffending than an approach where case management responsibilities are shared. An offender’s journey through prison and probation should be as seamless as possible – the right services, delivered at the right time, in the right place.

In this free seminar Kevin will discuss proposals for devolution of commissioning for prisons and probation and the development of new delivery vehicles to achieve better outcomes. He will argue that an integrated system which puts rehabilitation at its heart should be designed and delivered at a local level and will describe a blueprint for reform that would see the government’s current programme of prison reform as the first step towards a radically different model of offender management.
