Trauma and Community Justice

A new issue of the British Journal is now available. The theme which presents itself across the papers in this open issue is that of trauma – of individuals and of communities – where the social and psychological concerns of individuals intersect with the criminal justice system and wider structural problems within society.  Our papers highlight these challenges and potential solutions for different groups interfacing with the justice system as well as communities. A further common theme is the importance of user participation in addressing the issues that emerge, and how community justice can also meet the aims of criminal justice.
