PERU’s Kevin Wong and Rachel Kinsella along with their co-author Linda Meadows have been awarded a certificate of achievement by the Howard Journal of Crime and Justice.  Their article Developing a voluntary sector model for engaging offenders was among the top 10% downloaded papers between January 2018 and December 2019.  Their paper drew on analysis of interview data collected for the evaluation of the Transition to adulthood (T2A) pathway programme commissioned by the Barrow Cadbury Trust. Their article argues for the development of a distinct offender engagement model for voluntary and community sector (VCS) agencies recognising the contribution of: reciprocity, reliability, consistency, and emotional pleasure, to effective offender engagement.
