There is a growing interest in community-based restorative justice (RJ) initiatives. These\u00a0RJ programs often rely on community volunteers to perform tasks that include facilitating\u00a0meetings between victims and offenders. The present study asked 72 RJ volunteers to\u00a0provide their opinions on what constitutes a \u2018good\u2019 and a \u2018bad\u2019 RJ facilitator. Volunteers\u00a0reported that having adequate skills was the most important aspect of being a good\u00a0facilitator, while the qualities of a bad facilitator were being judgmental and dominating in the RJ process.
